Ukraine is safe for foreigners and is not affected by racism

Ukraine is safe for foreigners and is not affected by racism. In contrast to other European countries.

This was stated by the founder of the Institute of Human Rights and Prevention of Extremism and Xenophobia Oleksandr Feldman. The society has the positive attitude to the fans from all countries. The scandal with calls on not to go to the Championship in Ukraine because of racism appeared after the materials represented by the British mass media. The BBC journalists spent a month in Ukraine and Poland. After that, they showed video, on which aggressive fans exchange “Nazi salutes” and humiliate black players. Feldman called such occurrences single and the video – provocation.

Oleksandr Feldman, the founder of the Institute of Human Rights and Prevention of Extremism and Xenophobia:

- I think that Ukraine will be the last if put it in a reverse order. The countries, which produced that video, are considerably higher in this list, if not the first. You should better pay attention to the occurrences on Arbat, during English matches. I hope to God that Ukraine will never come to this; we do not have this quality in our mentality.
