May 21 – The World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development
In the 21st century, humanity that went through two world and numerous local wars, military and socio-political conflicts, bloody fights on the ethnic and religious grounds during the previous 100 years of its history starts to realize the value of peace based on the values of cultural diversity, co-operation and dialogue. The existing cultural diversities between people are the resource of a mutual experience exchange, and not a line of break-up. This Day celebrated by the UN shows that the co-operation of representatives of different cultures and people for the sake of peaceful development is the thing of the future.
