The former South African President, who put an end to the disgraceful policy of apartheid, is one of the most famous fighters for peace, freedom and humanism, for human rights and dignity outside the context of ideology, politics or logic of geopolitical confrontation. Nelson Mandela has rightly become as famous as another one supporter of non-violent release of the oppressed – Mahatma Gandhi. The international celebration of the 95th anniversary of the birth of the great African shows people that it is possible to achieve freedom and justice by peaceful and non-violent means.
