Czech Republic refuses to accept refugees

The Czech Republic is going to refuse to accept refugees according to the quotas of the European Union. It was stated by the Interior Minister Milan Chovanec, UNN reports with reference to Anadolu.

According to him, the Czech Republic accepted 12 refugees out of 1,600 ones stipulated by the quotas of the European Union so far. However, the country wants to stop accepting refugees despite the threat of sanctions from the EU.

“Ongoing security checks show that the country can no longer accept anyone else,” Milan Chovanec noted.

It is noted that according to the EU quotas, 120,000 persons must obtain asylum in the bloc’s countries during two years.
