Turkey detained 4 persons suspected of planning US embassy attack

Turkish police has detained four IS suspects within the frameworks of investigation of the possible attacks on the US embassy in Ankara, The Associated Press reports.

All of the suspects are Iraqi nationals.

It is informed that two of them were detained in a bus at a security check on a highway connecting the Black Sea town of city of Samsun and Ankara. Two others were detained in Samsun.

 In connection with the possible threat, police also searched pedestrians near the US embassy in Ankara today before letting them to walk along the street, where the main entrance to the embassy is located. 

It should be reminded that the US diplomatic mission to Istanbul was suspended due to the security threats today. 

The embassy recommended to avoid crowds, not to approach the embassy and to take care of personal security. 

Anadolu has informed that the extra security measures were taken in Ankara in connection with the information provided to the intelligence about a possible terrorist act near the embassy of the USA and where Americans are staying.
